ABC is Late-Night's No. 1 Network in Adults 18-49 on 14 Weeks This Season

ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Runs Neck and Neck with "The Tonight Show" in Adults 18-49, while Beating the NBC program in Adults 18-34

"Nightline" Improves ABC's Year-to-Year Total Viewer Performance on All 4 Weeks in its New Time Slot

ABC Late-Night (Monday - Friday)

In its fourth week of its new lineup of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" at 11:35 p.m. and "Nightline" at 12:35 a.m. (week of January 28, 2013), ABC stood as the No. 1 network in late-night in Adults 18-49 (786,000), taking the top spot on all 4 weeks with its new lineup. Overall, ABC has ranked No. 1 in 14 of 19 weeks this season in young adults.

· ABC's new late-night lineup posted gains over the Net's performance on the year-ago week for the 4th week in a row in Total Viewers (+1% - 2.232 million vs. 2.204 million) and for the 3rd time in 4 weeks in Adults 18-49 (+3% - 786,000 vs. 766,000).

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" (M-F 11:35 p.m.)

On average through its first four weeks at 11:35 p.m., ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" stands just 69,000 Adult 18-49 viewers from NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (994,000 vs. 1.063 million). In fact, "JKL" slashed its young adult gap with the NBC program by -85% versus its gap during the same four weeks last year (-69,000 vs. -470,000). "JKL" outdelivers CBS' "The Late Show with David Letterman" by 154,000 Adult 18-49 viewers (994,000 vs. 840,000).

ABC's "JKL" is the No. 1 broadcast late-night talk show in Adults 18-34 (362,000), topping "The Tonight Show" by 10% (330,000) and "The Late Show" by 33% (272,000).

Four weeks into its new 11:35 p.m. time slot, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is up over its performance at this time last year by 66% in Total Viewers (2.836 million vs. 1.707 million), by 51% in Adults 18-49 (994,000 vs. 658,000) and by 53% in Adults 18-34 (362,000 vs. 236,000), standing as the only late-night broadcast talk show to improve year over year in all 3 Nielsen measures.

"Nightline" (M-F 12:35 a.m.)

For the week of January 28, 2013, "Nightline" drew 1.548 million Total Viewers, 690,000 Adults 25-54 and 512,000 Adults 18-49, according to Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" outdelivered CBS' "The Late Late Show" by +135,000 Total Viewers, by +45,000 Adults 25-54 and by +46,000 Adults 18-49.

For the 4th week in a row in its new time slot, "Nightline" improved on ABC's performance in the time period on the same week last year by double digits in Total Viewers (+16%) - 1.336 million on w/o 1/30/12.

On average in its new time period, "Nightline" ranks No. 1 among Total Viewers, ahead of both NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson."
