OWN is a Top 10 Cable Network Across All Key Demos on Tuesday Night

Los Angeles - OWN premiered its second night of original programming from Tyler Perry on Wednesday, May 29 with two back-to-back half hour episodes of the sitcom "Love Thy Neighbor" 9-10 p.m. Continuing OWN's solid ratings momentum, 1.65 million total viewers watched the premiere at 9 p.m. (1.4 W25-54) making it the second highest rated series debut in network history across all key measures (second only to Tuesday night's premiere of Perry's drama "The Haves and the Have Nots"). The second episode of "Love Thy Neighbor" at 9:30 p.m. built to 1.8 million viewers, growing +8% in the network's key demo W25-54 and +9% in total viewers.

In addition, with competitive data in today from Nielsen, Tuesday night's two-episode premiere of "The Haves and the Have Nots" (9-11 p.m.) ranked among the night's Top 10 cable telecasts for all women and was the night's top two non-sports telecasts in all of television across all key African-American demos (overall #1 AA W25-54, #2 AA W18-49, households and total viewers.) OWN also ranked as a Top 10 cable network across all key demos on Tuesday night and the #1 network in all of television for African-American W25-54 (6.71) finishing +19% ahead of second place. The series was OWN's highest rated premiere in network history with 1.77 million viewers tuning in to the premiere at 9 p.m. and building to 1.8 million viewers at 10 p.m. (Competitive data for "Love Thy Neighbor" will be available tomorrow).

About "The Haves and the Have Nots" (Tuesdays at 9 p.m.)

"The Haves and the Have Nots" follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia. The series stars John Schneider ("Dukes of Hazzard") and Tika Sumpter ("Gossip Girl") along with an ensemble cast. Produced by Tyler Perry Studios.
