Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Demos for First Time This Season

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/19/13):

CBS (15.452 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) rose to the top spot on Tuesday with its mix of "NCIS" (19.388 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.0, #2), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (14.901 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.5, #T3) and "Person of Interest" (12.065 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #6).

ABC (6.942 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.3, #T2) and NBC (8.330 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.3, #T2) then split the silver as the latter served up new episodes of "The Biggest Loser 15" (6.333 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.8, #8), "The Voice" (11.222 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 3.1, #1) and "Chicago Fire" (7.437 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.9, #7).

Meanwhile, the Alphabet offered up originals from "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (6.847 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.3, #5) and "The Goldbergs" (5.137 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.6, #10) plus the special "David Blaine: Real or Magic" (7.608 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.5, #T3).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.060 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) served up new episodes of "Dads" (3.197 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.3, #12), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (3.355 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.5, #11), "New Girl" (3.275 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.7, #9) and "The Mindy Project" (2.413 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.2, #13).

And finally, the special "The iHeartRadio Album Release Party with Lady Gaga" (0.889 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #15) and a new "Supernatural" (1.964 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.9, #14) on The CW (1.426 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Lady Gaga" delivered a 0.3 rating while "Supernatural" posted a 1.1 rating.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/5 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.6/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/20/12):

NBC (9.38 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.3, #1) was the top demo draw for the 10th straight Monday thanks to new episodes of "The Voice" (10.54 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.7, #1) - its season low for a Monday telecast - and "Revolution" (7.04 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 2.6, #5) - tied as its lowest rating to date.

CBS (8.47 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.6, #2) then took home the silver with its mix of "How I Met Your Mother" (7.87 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 3.0, #3), a repeat of "Two and a Half Men" (6.37 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 2.1, #8), "2 Broke Girls" (9.74 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 3.4, #2), "Mike & Molly" (9.24 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.9, #4) and "Hawaii Five-0" (8.80 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.2, #7).

Next up was ABC (12.88 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #3) with originals from "Dancing with the Stars" (14.08 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #6) and "Castle" (10.48 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T9).

Meanwhile, FOX (5.13 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) offered up new episodes of "Bones" (7.12 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T9) and the struggling "The Mob Doctor" (3.13 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #11).

And finally, fresh installments of "90210" (0.78 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) and "Gossip Girl" (0.70 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) closed out the evening over on The CW (0.74 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "90210" delivered a 0.5 rating while "Gossip Girl" posted a 0.6 rating.
