TNT Claims Four of Basic Cable's Top 15 Original Series for 2013, More Than Any Other Network

As 2013 comes to a close, TNT claims four of basic cable's Top 15 original series for the year-to-date, more than any other network, with Rizzoli & Isles, Major Crimes, Falling Skies and Perception making the list. TNT also claims two of basic cable's Top 10 original series among adults 25-54, with Falling Skies and Rizzoli & Isles. Both shows also rank among basic cable's Top 20 original series with adults 18-49.

TNT's success in 2013 comes with audience growth in total day, with the network up by +3% among total viewers compared to last year. Adults 25-54 are also up compared to 2012.

TNT's blockbuster drama Rizzoli & Isles brought in more than 8.3 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery during the summer, an increase of +5% over the same number of episodes in season three. The series, which also drew 2.9 million adults 25-54 in Live + 7, is slated to return for the second half of its fourth season in February.

TNT's hit drama Major Crimes has drawn 6.9 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery for its second season, including more than 2.1 million adults 25-54 and 1.6 million adults 18-49. The series is currently airing Mondays at 9 p.m. (ET/PT), with the season finale set for mid-January.

TNT's epic sci-fi drama Falling Skies scored 5.6 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery for its third season, a slight increase compared to the second season. The series also averaged 3.0 million adults 25-54 and 2.6 million adults 18-49. Falling Skies is slated to return for its fourth season insummer 2014.

Other strong performers for TNT in 2013 include the intriguing crime drama Perception, with 5.5 million viewers and 2.0 million adults 25-54 in Live + 7 delivery for its second season; Dallas, with 3.8 million viewers and 1.7 million adults 25-54 for its second season; and Franklin & Bash, with 3.3 million viewers and 1.4 million adults 25-54.
