Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: NFL Wild Card Game Sparks Victory for FOX

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/5/14):

FOX (17.754 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.6, #1) was the network to beat on Sunday with its mix of "NFL Overrun" (41.508 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 13.3, #1), "The OT" (35.840 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 12.1, #2), "The Simpsons" (12.039 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 5.2, #3), "Bob's Burgers" (6.354 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 3.2, #4), "Family Guy" (5.747 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 3.0, #5) and "American Dad" (5.034 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 2.5, #6).

NBC (5.804 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) then claimed a distant second place with a new "Dateline NBC" (5.896 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.3, #13) followed by the "Best of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Primetime Special" (5.712 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 2.0, #7).

Next up was ABC (5.795 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) and its lineup of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (6.795 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.6, #10), "The Bachelor: Countdown to Juan Pablo" (6.319 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T8), "Revenge" (6.691 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T8) and "Betrayal" (3.375 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.8, #16).
