Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS, NFL Overrun Edge NBC, Golden Globes

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/12/14):

CBS (18.129 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.8, #1) edged out the top spot with its mix of "NFL Overrun" (36.321 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 11.3, #1), "60 Minutes" (16.982 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 4.2, #3), "The Good Wife" (9.823 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.8, #9) and "The Mentalist" (9.389 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #10).

NBC (15.507 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.7, #2) then was a close second place with its presentations of "Golden Globes Red Carpet" (10.742 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.8, #4) and "The 71th Annual Golden Globe Awards" (17.095 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 5.4, #2).

Next up was FOX (3.767 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #3) with its lineup of "Bob's Burgers" (2.033 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T15) and "American Dad" (2.402 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.1, #12) repeats followed by new episodes of "The Simpsons" (4.712 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T6), "Bob's Burgers" (4.020 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.9, #8), "Family Guy" (5.085 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 2.6, #5) and "American Dad" (4.350 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T6).

And finally, ABC (4.205 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) closed out the night with its combination of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (5.098 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #13), "The Bachelor: Behind the Scenes" (3.291 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #14), "Revenge" (5.654 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.6, #11) and "Betrayal" (2.776 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T15).

The Eye then served up a full hour of "NFL Overrun" (31.893 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 10.8, #1) alongside originals from "60 Minutes" (14.840 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.7, #3), "The Good Wife" (9.999 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.9, #12) and "The Mentalist" (10.420 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T10).
