Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge continues with an all-new episode focused on the Henson classic, The Dark Crystal, on Tuesday, April 1 at 10 PM ET/PT. In the episode, "Return of the Skeksis," the creature designers enter the Creature Shop ecstatic to find themselves face-to-face with three original Skeksis, the villainous creatures from the film. Host Gigi Edgley and Head Judge Brian Henson deliver the Creature Brief - to design, build and bring to life original Skeksis that have been banished to an inhospitable environment. Designers work in teams of three to sculpt, paint, mechanize, and costume their Skeksis before moving to the legendary Henson Sound Stage for a screen test featuring original props from the movie and the actual "Dark Crystal" itself. Creature Shop Fabrication Supervisor Julie Zobel serves as Master for the episode and guides the designers throughout their build.

The nine creature designers still in the competition are: Russ Adams of Ogden, UT; Ben Bayouth of Woodland Hills, CA; Robert Bennett of Orlando, FL; Jake Corrick of Belle Vernon, PA; Melissa Doss of Big Bear, CA; Ivonne Escoto of Los Angeles, CA; Tina Roland of Doylestown, PA; Lex Rudd of Guerneville, CA; and Josh Smith of Minot, ND.

Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge is a production of The Jim Henson Company. Brian Henson serves as executive producer with his sister Lisa Henson, the company's CEO. Also executive producing Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge are Joseph Freed (Little People Big World, Rachael Ray) and Rob Bagshaw (Paradise Hotel, Top Chef Masters, Project Runway All Stars).
