ABC's "Kimmel" Soars to Its Most-Watched Week Ever and Delivers Its Biggest-Ever Audience for Any Sweep in November

Some early points on Jimmy Kimmel Live's numbers, ahead of the regular press release:

Please note: Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the Wednesday - Friday telecasts of Kimmel were coded as specials and were excluded from the show's average.

During Thanksgiving week (week of November 24, 2014), ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live shot up week to week by 24% in Total Viewers to its most-watched week ever (3.649 million), while hitting a new season high for the 2nd week in a row in Adults 18-49 (977,000).

Kimmel was up over Thanksgiving week last year (w/o 11/25/13) in both Total Viewers (+18%) and Adults 18-49 (+3%), growing its overall audience over the year-ago week for the 6th straight week. In fact, ABC's Kimmel was the only 11:35pm talk show to grow year to year in both Viewers and the young adult demo (CBS' Late Show was down -16%/-23% and NBC's Tonight Show was down -12%/up +3%).

· ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live stood as the week's #2 talk show in late-night in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, behind only NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

· On Tuesday (11/25/14), Kimmel drew 3.954 million Total Viewers, marking the show's 3rd-most-watched telecast ever on any night in late-night.

During the 2014 November sweep, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live attracted its biggest-ever audience for any sweep (2.998 million Total Viewers). Kimmel grew its overall audience over the 2013 November sweep by 7% in Total Viewers, growing over the previous November for the 5th year in a row. In fact, Kimmel has attracted its largest-ever November audience for the 4th consecutive year.

With its late-night lineup of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" at 11:35 p.m. and "Nightline" at 12:35 a.m., ABC grew for the 2nd consecutive week in Total Viewers (+23% - 3.165 million vs. 2.565 million) and Adults 18-49 (+4% - 851,000 vs. 821,000) to deliver season-high performances. In fact, ABC scored its most-watched week in late-night in 3 years - since the week of 11/21/11.

ABC grew over the year-ago week (2.645 million and 823,000 on w/o 11/25/13) for the 6th straight week in Total Viewers (+20%), while growing by 3% in Adults 18-49. In fact, ABC was the only broadcaster to see growth in late-night over the same week last year in either Nielsen measure, as both CBS (-12%/-16%) and NBC (-10%/-2%) lost viewers.

· ABC was the No. 1 network in late-night for the 6th week running in Total Viewers (3.165 million), beating NBC (+31% - 2.423 million) and CBS (+62% - 1.949 million) by its largest margins of the season. In fact, ABC drew the largest late-night audience for any network this season.

During the 2014 November sweep, ABC drew its biggest overall audience (2.545 million) for any sweep in 2 years and hit a 1-year high in Adults 18-49 (795,000) - since November 2012 and November 2013, respectively.

In addition, "Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in Adults 25-54 (+263,000) and Adults 18-49 (+154,000).
