ABC Wins Monday in AD18-49 - The Bachelor Builds to Season Highs

ABC Monday Prime (8-11pm - 6.9 million and 1.8/5 in AD18-49): With The Bachelor and a repeat Castle, ABC won Monday in Adults 18-49 (1.8/5), beating all-original lineups on Fox (Gotham/Sleepy Hollow = 1.7/5) and NBC (Celebrity Apprentice/State of Affairs = 1.6/5). ABC's The Bachelor was Monday's #1 TV show in Adults 18-49, leading each of its half-hours.

The Bachelor (8-10pm - 7.9 million and 2.2/6 in AD18-49): From 8-10pm, ABC's The Bachelor continued to increase its winning advantages over NBC's Celebrity Apprentice to a best-yet 23% in Total Viewers (7.9 million vs. 6.4 million) and by 22% Adults 18-49 (2.2/6 vs. 1.8/5), up from last week's advantages of 17% and 11%, respectively. The Bachelor was up for the 2nd week in Total Viewers (+4% - 7.9 million vs. 7.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (+5% - 2.2/6 vs. 2.1/6) to mark its most-watched telecast this season and tie a season high in young adults.

· In addition to leading the night in Adults 18-49, The Bachelor was Monday's #1 TV series for the 4th week in a row in Adults 18-34 and key Women (W18-34/W18-49).

Castle-R (10-11pm - 5.0 million and 0.9/3 in AD18-49): At 10pm, ABC's repeat Castle outdrew NBC's original State of Affairs in Total Viewers (+11% - 5.0 million vs. 4.5 million) and essentially tied the NBC first-run drama in Adults 18-49 (0.9/3 vs. 1.0/3).

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
