Friday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Takes Home Demo Crown with "Shark Tank"

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/30/15):

ABC (6.841 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) was the network to beat among adults 18-49 with its mix of "Last Man Standing" (7.478 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4), "Cristela" (5.707 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T9), "Shark Tank" (7.904 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) and "20/20" (6.028 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2).

CBS (10.131 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then was a close second with its trio of "Undercover Boss" (8.139 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4), "Hawaii Five-0" (10.396 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) and "Blue Bloods" (11.860 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4).

Next up was NBC (4.220 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) with originals from "Constantine" (3.306 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11), "Grimm" (4.832 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7) and "Dateline NBC" (4.524 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.468 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) served up new episodes from "World's Funniest Fails" (3.057 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T9) and "Glee" (1.879 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #12).

And finally, a new "Hart of Dixie" (1.057 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13), a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.854 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13) and a new "Masters of Illusion" (0.889 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13) closed out the evening on The CW (0.964 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said trio posted a 0.5, 0.3 and 0.3 rating, respectively.

·In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/5 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/3 with an encore.

·From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

·From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

·At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (1/31/14):

ABC (6.137 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) was still the demo champ on Friday with its mix of "Last Man Standing" (6.873 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #7), "The Neighbors" (4.326 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9), "Shark Tank" (7.362 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1) and "20/20" (5.450 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T2).

CBS (11.047 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) then was a competitive second place with originals from "Undercover Boss" (9.228 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T2), "Hawaii Five-0" (11.126 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T2) and "Blue Bloods" (12.788 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T5).

Next up was FOX (4.581 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) and its Monday-bound "Bones" (6.814 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T5) followed by new episodes of "Enlisted" (2.793 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11) and "Raising Hope" (1.903 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #12).

Meanwhile, NBC (5.125 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) served up a rebroadcast of "Hollywood Game Night" (3.380 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10) followed by a new two-hour "Dateline NBC" (5.998 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #8).

And finally, the season finale of "The Carrie Diaries" (0.917 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #13) and a repeat of "Supernatural" (0.769 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14) closed out the evening on The CW (0.843 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).
