"Survivor" Delivers Its Biggest Premiere Audience Since Fall 2012
"The Amazing Race" Posts Big Gains Over Its Fall Premiere
CBS's night of reality premieres saw the 30th edition of SURVIVOR deliver its largest premiere audience since fall 2012, while THE AMAZING RACE opened with huge increases over its fall debut, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Feb. 25.
From 8:00-9:30 PM, SURVIVOR's 90-minute season premiere averaged 9.88 million viewers, 2.3/07 in adults 18-49 and 3.3/08 in adults 25-54. SURVIVOR posted its largest audience for a premiere since the fall of 2012. Compared to last winter's premiere (two-hours on the same night last year), SURVIVOR was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 3.2/08) and added +460,000 viewers (from 9.42m, +5%).
From 9:30-11:00 PM, THE AMAZING RACE's premiere with 6.06 million viewers, 1.5/04 in adults 18-49 and 2.0/05 in adults 25-54. Compared to last fall's premiere (Friday, Sept. 26), THE AMAZING RACE was up +18% in adults 25-54 (from 1.7/06), +36% in adults 18-49 (from 1.1/05) and added +540,000 viewers (from 5.52m, +10%). THE AMAZING RACE moves to its regular Friday time period at 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT tomorrow.
