"GOLD RUSH" ENDS SEASON FIVE WITH BEST SEASON FINALE EVER AND 6.4 MILLION VIEWERS

Gold Rush #1 Unscripted Series 2015 to Date in Both Total Viewers and 25-54 Demo

Discovery Channel's GOLD RUSH delivered a season finale best on Friday, March 6, in Total Viewers P2+ and Persons 25-54, making it the #1 unscripted series in 2015, to date in L+3. GOLD RUSH also ranks as the #6 unscripted cable series with women for 2015 and has been the #1 program in all of television every Friday among Men for every week this year. Additionally, GOLD RUSH season five is up double digits vs. season four (10%) in Persons 25-54.

GOLD RUSH at 9 PM ET/PT earned a 4.71 HH / 3.40 P25-54 / 4.78 M25-54 / 2.06 W25-54 / 2.78 P18-49 / 3.80 M18-49 with 6.393 million total viewers P2+. It was #1 in ALL OF TELEVISION among Men 25-54/18-49/18-34 delivery and was Friday night's top program on cable among HH, Persons 25-54/18-49/18-34, Women 25-54/18-49 and Total Viewers P2+ delivery.

For the entire fifth season of GOLD RUSH (10/17/14-03/06/15), the full season averaged a 3.03 Persons 25-54 AA%, beating last season (2.75) by +10% and finished as the series' second highest rated season. GOLD RUSH averaged 5.518 million total viewers P2+ for the season.

The 8PM broadcast of The Dirt, the GOLD RUSH pre-show hosted by executive producer Christo Doyle, delivered its most watched episode of the season earning a 1.81 HH/ 1.11 P25-54 / 1.60 M25-54 / and was watched by 2.45 million total viewers P2+. The Dirt rounded out the top 3 cable programs on Friday night among M25-54 delivery and was the #1 program on cable in its time slot among M25-54, M18-49 and M18-34 delivery.

Fueled by GOLD RUSH programming, Discovery Channel was Friday night's #1 network in ALL OF TELEVISION among Men 25-54/18-49/18-34 and Persons 18-34 delivery. Discovery was also Friday night's #1 network on cable among HH, Persons 25-54/18-49, Women 25-54/18-49 and Total Viewers P2+ delivery. Discovery beat all of the broadcast networks among Men 25-54 delivery (CBS by +24%, ABC by +74%, NBC by +106% and FOX by +139%) and three broadcast networks among Persons 25-54 delivery (ABC by +1%, NBC by +7% and FOX by +66%).
