Monday's Broadcast Ratings: "The Voice" Keeps NBC on Top in Demos

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (3/16/15):

NBC (10.052 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.7, #1) was the demo champ on Monday with new episodes of "The Voice" (12.208 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.3, #1) and "The Night Shift" (5.740 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T5).

ABC (12.372 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2) then claimed the silver with the return of "Dancing with the Stars" (14.024 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2) and "Castle" (9.067 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T5).

Next up was CBS (6.998 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) with a special repeat "The Big Bang Theory" (8.394 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.7, #4) followed by a new "Mike & Molly" (8.456 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3) and second runs of "Scorpion" (6.437 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #7) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (6.133 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.971 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) served up a repeat "Gotham" (2.438 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10) and a new "The Following" (3.505 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8).

And finally, fresh installments from "The Originals" (1.286 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10) and "Jane the Virgin" (1.074 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) on The CW (1.180 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former delivered a 0.8 rating while the latter posted a 0.7 rating.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/6; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.7/6 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (3/17/14):

ABC (13.273 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) was the most-watched network on Monday with the return of "Dancing with the Stars" (14.984 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.5, #4) and a new "Castle" (9.854 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T6).

NBC (12.576 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.6, #1) however held onto the demo crown with new episodes of "The Voice" (13.304 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.0, #1) and "The Blacklist" (11.121 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.8, #3).

Next up was CBS (6.692 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #3) with originals from "How I Met Your Mother" (7.881 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.9, #2), "2 Broke Girls" (7.095 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.1, #5), "Mike & Molly" (7.594 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T6), "Mom" (7.054 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T6) and "Intelligence" (5.265 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.1, #11).

Meanwhile, FOX (4.775 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Bones" (5.562 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T9) and "The Following" (3.987 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T9).

And finally, The CW (1.103 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) served up a new "Star-Crossed" (1.052 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) and the relocated "The Tomorrow People" (1.154 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Star-Crossed" delivered a 0.3 rating while "People" posted a 0.3 rating.
