The Goldbergs: L3 = 9.9 mil/2.8 rtg, L7 = 10.7 mil/3.0 rtg and Multiplatform+35 Day = 3.5 rtg

ABC Wednesday Prime (8-11pm - 6.8 million and 1.9/6 in AD18-49): With Modern Family returning to original for the first time in 3 weeks, ABC ranked #1 on Wednesday in Adults 18-49 (1.9/6-tied w/CBS), beating Fox's prime with a 2-hour American Idol by 27% in Adults 18-49 (1.5/5). Modern Family was Wednesday's #1 TV show in Adults 18-49, while black-ish and The Goldbergs tied at #3, behind only CBS' Survivor. ABC was up from the year-ago night with an original schedule by 15% in Total Viewers and by 6% in Adults 18-49.

The Middle (8-8:30pm - 7.7 million and 1.8/6 in AD18-49): At 8pm against Survivor, The Middle beat Idol for the 5th week running in the half-hour among Adults 18-49 (+20 - 1.8/6 vs. 1.5/6). The ABC comedy gained week to week in Total Viewers (+3%) and was on par in Adults 18-49, drawing its biggest audience in 7 weeks - since 3/4/15. Season to date, The Middle is up in Total Viewers (+4%) and Adults 18-49 (+4%).

The Goldbergs (8:30-9pm - 7.1 million and 2.1/7 in AD18-49): Building on its Adult 18-49 lead-in at 8:30pm (+17%), The Goldbergs outdelivered Idol in the slot for its 6th straight original (+40% - 2.1/7 vs. 1.5/5). The Goldbergs was up week to week in Total Viewers (+3%) and even in Fast Affiliate Adult 18-49 rating, pulling its largest audience in 3 week - since 4/1/15. Season to date, the ABC sophomore comedy is pacing well ahead of its year-ago benchmarks in Adults 18-49, growing its half-hour year to year by 44% and up over its own performance on Tuesday at 9pm by 17%.

Modern Family (9-9:30pm - 8.8 million and 2.9/9 in AD18-49): Spiking 38% over its Adult 18-49 lead-in at 9pm, ABC's Modern Family won its slot by 45% over its nearest competition (2.9/9 vs. 2.0/6 - CBS' Criminal Minds). Modern Family held even with its most recent original telecast in the Fast Affiliate Adult 18-49 ratings (also a 2.9/10 on 4/1/15).
