Discovery Channel Delivers Best April Ever in Men
Discovery spins the numbers for the month of April.

DISCOVERY CHANNEL DELIVERS BEST APRIL EVER IN MEN

Discovery Channel up +12% in Total Viewers, +10% in Both Men and Persons 25-54 and up +8% in Women 25-54 in April

Discovery Channel continues its ratings success into 2Q15 by setting a new record for its best April ever among Men 25-54 Prime Time ratings in April 2015 L+3. Discovery's Prime Time ratings growth was balanced between both Men and Women, up +10% among Men 25-54 and up +8% among Women 25-54, in addition to being up +12% in Total Viewers P2+ and up +10% among Persons 25-54 for the month vs. April 2014. Discovery also remains in the Top Five in ad supported cable in Persons 25-54, moving up two positions year over year to land at #3 for the month.

DEADLIEST CATCH was cable's #1 unscripted show in April 2015 in Total Viewers P2+, Persons 25-54, and Men 25-54/18-49 with an average of 3.87 million viewers for the month. Rounding out Discovery's top five unscripted series for April were NAKED AND AFRAID (3.31 million) FAST N'LOUD (2.55 million), BERING SEA GOLD (2.18 million) and DUAL SURVIVAL (2.15 million).

During April, Discovery was #1 in all of cable in Persons 25-54 and Persons 18-49 demos in Prime Time for the week of April 13-19 in L+3. This marked the first time this year Discovery Channel was #1 in these demos; most recently it happened during Shark Week 2014.
