"Blacklist" Grows 17% Week to Week in 18-49

'BLACKLIST' GROWS +17% WEEK TO WEEK IN 18-49

'BLACKLIST,' WHICH LAST WEEK SET A SERIES RECORD BY GROWING +99% IN L+7, TIES FOR THE SLOT LEAD AMONG THE BIG 4 IN MEN 18-49

Thursday Primetime Results (updated with time-shifting estimates):

· "The Blacklist" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 6.7 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) increased its rating by +17% week to week in adults 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.2) and +2% in total viewers (6.746 million vs. 6.599 million). Note that last week's telecast grew by a series-record +99% in 18-49 and by 4.0 million viewers overall in L+3 results vs. these L+SD figures (see details below).

· Last night's "Blacklist" also grew week to week by +40% or 0.2 of a point in adults 18-34 (0.7 vs. 0.5), +50% or 0.2 of a point in men 18-34 (0.6 vs. 0.4) and +60% or 0.3 of a point in women 18-34 (0.8 vs. 0.5).

· "The Blacklist" tied for #1 among the Big 4 nets In the time period in men 18-49 (with a 1.3 rating).

· "Blacklist" originals have improved the Thursday 9 p.m. hour by +164% in 18-49 (3.33 vs. a prior average of 1.26, "most current" excluding sports) and by 8.9 million viewers overall (13.2 million vs. 4.3 million). NBC's Thursday overall has improved by +17% since the "Blacklist" move in 18-49 (1.96 on nights of "Blacklist" originals vs. 1.68, "most current" non-sports) and 2.9 million viewers overall (8.3 million vs. 5.4 million).

· "The Blacklist" remains a top upscale attraction - 140 index of adults 18-49 living in $100K+ homes ("most current").

· "The Blacklist" will add substantial viewership via time-shifting: The prior week's "Blacklist" grew by a series-record +99% in L+3 vs. L+SD in 18-49 rating (1.25 to 2.49), and grew in total viewers by 4.0 million persons (6.6 million to 10.6 million), the largest increases of the night on the Big 4.

· "Dateline NBC" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) tied for #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the time period in adults 25-54 (with a 1.2 rating), men 18-49 and men 18-34 and ranked #2 outright among those nets in men 25-54.

· L+3: The previous week's Thursday "Dateline" increased in L+3 vs. L+SD by +26% in 18-49 rating (0.93 to 1.17) and in total viewers by 782,000 persons (5.0 million to 5.8 million).

· An encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET, to capture NBC's best 18-49 rating in the slot since April 16 (0.7 for an "SVU" rebroadcast).

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.4/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.8/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.6/4 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.0/4 in metered-market households) trailed CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" (1.3/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.3/2 in 18-49) tied "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
