"Mr. Robinson" Is the Most-Watched Summer Comedy Debut on the Big 4 Since 2007, Second-Highest-Rated in 18-49 Since 2009

'MR. ROBINSON' IS THE MOST-WATCHED SUMMER COMEDY DEBUT ON THE BIG 4 SINCE 2007, SECOND-HIGHEST-RATED IN 18-49 SINCE 2009

NBC WINS WEDNSEDAY, AS 'MR. ROBINSON' TAKES ITS 9 P.M. SLOT AMONG THE BIG 4 IN EVERY KEY DEMO, TOPS NBC'S PRIOR SUMMER COMEDY DEBUT BY +71%

Wednesday Results:

NBC won Wednesday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, with strong debut results from "Mr. Robinson."

· "Mr. Robinson" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall from 9-9:30 p.m. ET) is the most-watched summer-comedy debut on the Big 4 since 2007 (6.191 million for "Creature Comforts" on CBS June 4, 2007), a span covering 11 summer-comedy launches.

· "Mr. Robinson" is the #2 highest-rated summer comedy debut on the Big 4 since 2009 (1.6 for "The Goode Family"), a span covering 10 summer-comedy launches. The only higher-rated summer-comedy debut on the Big 4over that span in18-49 is "Undateable" (1.3 on May 29, 2014).

· "Mr. Robinson" won the time period among the Big 4 in every key demographic and was up +71% versus NBC's prior summer comedy debut (1.2 vs. 0.7 for "Working the Engles" July 10, 2014).

· "Mr. Robinson" retained 86% of its lead-in from "America's Got Talent" in adults 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.4).

· A second episode of "Mr. Robinson" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) retained 83% of the prior half-hour's strong series premiere rating in 18-49, retained 91% in men 18-49 (1.0 vs. 1.1), 93% in adults 25-54 (1.4 vs. 1.5) and 94% in women 25-54 (1.5 vs. 1.6).

· The 9:30 "Mr. Robinson" ranked #1 or tied for #1 in the time period among the Big 4 in every key demo.

· "Last Comic Standing" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) won the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in all key demos.

· "Last Comic Standing" took the slot among those networks in adults 18-49 by a +75% margin of victory (1.4 vs. 0.8 for both ABC and CBS in the hour).

· Note that "Last Comic" is very close to rounding up to a 1.5 (currently reporting a 1.448 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings).

· "Last Comic Standing" will add significant viewership via time-shifting - last week's "Last Comic" increased by +21% going from L+SD to L+3 (1.45 to 1.75) and by 846,000 viewers overall (5.8 million vs. 6.7 million).

· A "World's Got Talent" edition of "America's Got Talent" (1.4/6 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) retained 93% of last week's result in this 8-9 p.m. hour in both 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.5 from 8-9) and total viewers (6.878 million vs. 7.385 million).

· "America's Got Talent" won the hour in total viewers.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; "CBS Summer Showcase," 1.6/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 with an encore in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
