THE 9 P.M. 'CARMICHAEL' IS THE MOST-WATCHED WEEK 2 SUMMER COMEDY IN 11 YEARS, WINS THE SLOT IN 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS

NBC WINS WEDNEDAY IN 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS, AS 'TALENT' HITS AN NBC SLOT HIGH SINCE APRIL, 'LAST COMIC' WINS AT 10

Boosted by strong week-two growth for "The Carmichael Show," NBC won Wednesday night in adults 18-49 and total viewers.

"The Carmichael Show" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall from 9-9:30 p.m. ET):

· Is up versus last week's premiere by +18% in 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.1).

· The 4.820 million for the 9 p.m. edition is

· The top Week 2 result for a summer comedy on the Big 4 in 11 years, since Week 2 of Fox's "Method and Red" averaged 6.260 million on June 23, 2004, a span covering 20 summer comedies.

· The #2 result for any episode of a summer comedy in total viewers since June 11, 2007 (CBS's "Creature Comforts," 6.191 million), a span covering 91 summer comedy episodes, trailing over that time only last week's "Carmichael" premiere (slightly higher at 4.826 million).

· The 1.3 in 18-49 is:

· The highest rating for any episode of a summer comedy since the first two "Undateable" telecasts on May 29, 2014 (1.3 at 9 p.m., 1.3 at 9:30).

· Tied for the highest rating for any episode of a summer comedy in six years (since the debut ABC's "The Goode Family" averaged a 1.6 on May 27, 2009), a span covering 88 summer-comedy episodes.

· The high for a Week 2 summer comedy in eight years, since Week 2 of CBS's "Creature Comforts" averaged a 1.4 on June 11, 2007.

· Wins the time period among the Big 4 in adults 18-49 and total viewers.

· Faced original competition in the slot from CBS's "Extant" and Fox's "Home Free," as well as ABC's "Modern Family" encore

A second episode of "The Carmichael Show" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET):

· Grew +22% versus its opening week 9:30 rating in 18-49 (1.1 vs. 0.9).

· Retained 85% of the prior half-hour's strong series premiere rating in 18-49.

· Won the time period among the Big 4 in adults, men and women 18-49.

"Last Comic Standing" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET):

· Wins the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and ranks #1 or tied for #1 in every key demo.

· Retains 100% of its 1.1 rating of the prior two weeks in 18-49.

· Upscale: Last week's "Comic" was the most upscale show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (with a 119 index) and with four or more years of college (125 index).

"America's Got Talent" (1.7/7 in 18-49, 9.1 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET):

· Delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period since April 8, when a special "Voice" averaged a 2.2.

· Grew 6% week to week in 18-49 (1.7 vs. 1.6).

· Wins the hour in total viewers.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; "CBS Summer Showcase," 1.8/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.1/1 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 with an encore in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
