"60 MINUTES" MAKES THE TOP 10 IN KEY DEMOS, MAKES TOP FIVE IN VIEWERS AND HOUSEHOLDS
"60 Minutes" is Sunday's # 1 Non-Sports Program
America's #1 news program had a banner week, making Nielsen's top 10 broadcasts in viewers, households, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. It was the second time in three weeks that 60 MINUTES made the top 10 in viewers.
60 MINUTES drew 15.41 million viewers and scored a 9.6/16 in households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 11, placing third for the week in both measurements. 60 MINUTES was also a top 10 broadcast in both adults 25-54 (3.9/11) and adults 18-49 (2.9/09) - finishing eighth in both measures.
60 MINUTES was Sunday's #1 non-sports program.
Sunday's 60 MINUTES featured an interview with President Barack Obama conducted by Steve Kroft in which the president spoke about Syria and domestic politics. It also contained a story by Bill Whitaker about a wrongfully convicted man who served 30 years on death row.
