Sunday Night (10/18/15) - ABC Total Viewer and Adult 18-49 Projections

AFHV: L3 = 5.2 million/0.9 rating, L7 = 5.3 million/0.9 rating and MP+35 = 0.9 rating

Once Upon a Time: L3 = 6.9 million/2.2 rating, L7 = 7.4 million/2.4 rating and MP+35 = 3.1 rating

Blood & Oil: L3 = 5.8 million/1.4 rating, L7 = 6.3 million/1.5 rating

Quantico: L3 = 8.7 million/2.6 rating, L7 = 9.4 million/2.8 rating

Once Upon a Time (8-9pm - 4.8 million and 1.6/5 in AD18-49):

Doubling its Adult 18-49 lead-in at 8pm (+100%) opposite the start of Sunday Night Football and CBS' NFL-fueled programming, ABC's Once Upon a Time beat Fox's comedies (The Simpsons/Brooklyn 9-9) by 1.7 million viewers (4.8 million vs. 3.1 million) and 14% in young adults (1.6/5 vs. 1.4/4). Once Upon a Time held even with its week-earlier Adult 18-49 delivery.

Blood & Oil (9-10pm - 3.5 million and 0.9/2 in AD18-49):

At 9pm against The Walking Dead, ABC freshman drama Blood & Oil attracted 52% more viewers in the hour than Fox's comedies (3.5 million vs. 2.3 million for Bob's Burgers/The Last Man on Earth) and nearly tied in Adults 18-49 (0.9/2 vs. 1.0/3). Blood & Oil was up 13% from its week-ago Fast Affiliate Adult 18-49 rating (0.9/2 vs. 0.8/2) and steady with its National rating, which adjusted up 1-tenth. The new ABC drama was also up week to week across all key Women: W18-34 (+29%), W18-49 (+9%) and W25-54 (+14%).

Quantico (10-11pm - 5.2 million and 1.6/5 in AD18-49):

Jumping over its lead-in for the 4th straight week at 10pm (+78%), ABC's Quantico outdelivered CBS' drama in the hour by 60% in Adults 18-49 (1.6/5 vs. 1.0/3 for The Good Wife/CSI Cyber). Quantico was steady week to week in Adults 18-49. On average in the Live + Same Day ratings, the new ABC drama has improved its hour by 38% over the same weeks last year in Adults 18-49, which will increase as playback is included in its averages.

Live + 3 Day for Last Week (10/11/15): ABC's Quantico shot up +94% (+1.5 rating points) over its L+SD Adult 18-49 rating to mark the biggest percentage increase for any single telecast on broadcast TV this season. Quantico also added another +4.0 million Total Viewers (a +70% increase), also the season's top L+3 lift on a percentage basis. The new drama's L+3 lift has gone up each week in Adults 18-49: +63% for its debut telecast, +74% in week 2 to +94% in week 3.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 48% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
