"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" Defeats "Late Show with Stephen Colbert" by Largest Margins to Date

Fallon, Meyers Score Big Wins in 18-49 and Total Viewers for Week of Oct. 12-16

NEW YORK - Oct. 22, 2015 - "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" has won the late-night ratings week of Oct. 12-16 by a +56% margin in adults 18-49 versus CBS's "Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and a +30% advantage in total viewers - the biggest margins to date in both measures for Fallon versus Colbert.

For the week, Fallon scored a 0.92 rating in 18-49 and 3.409 million viewers overall while Colbert averaged a 0.59 and 2.628 million viewers.

In the prior five weeks since Colbert debuted, Fallon's margins in 18-49 have been +28% for the week of Sept. 7-11, +38% for Sept. 14-18, +35% for Sept. 21-25, +41% for Sept. 28-Oct. 2 and +38% for Oct. 5-9.

In total viewers, Colbert led his debut week, Sept. 7-11, by +13%, then Fallon won by +22% during the week of Sept. 14-18, +11% for Sept. 21-25, +19% for Sept. 28-Oct. 2 and +22% for Oct. 5-9.

For the most recent week of Oct. 12-16, Fallon grew +5% versus the prior week in 18-49 rating (0.92 vs. 0.88). At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" also generated a +5% gain versus the previous week in 18-49, with a 0.46 rating versus a 0.44 for Oct. 5-9, to stretch his advantage over CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" to a +39% win (0.46 vs. 0.33) versus a +29% margin the prior week (0.44 vs. 0.34). In total viewers, "Meyers" increased his advantage to 27% (1.572 million vs. 1.234 million), up from a 23% edge the previous week (1.595 million vs. 1.302 million).

Versus the same week last year, Meyers was up +4% in total viewers (1.572 million vs. 1.513 million), and at 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" was up +8% (914,000 vs. 843,000).
