Friday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX Rides World Series to Top Spot

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/30/15):

FOX (12.508 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.1, #1) was the network to beat on Friday with its coverage of the "World Series, Game 3" (12.508 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.1, #1).

ABC (6.852 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then had to settle for second place with its mix of "Last Man Standing" (6.841 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Dr. Ken" (5.783 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Shark Tank" (6.085 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) and "20/20" (8.158 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2).

Next up was CBS (7.921 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) and its trio of "The Amazing Race" (6.096 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Hawaii Five-0" (8.128 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7) and "Blue Bloods" (9.540 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.256 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) offered up new episodes of "Undateable" (2.652 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11) and "Truth Be Told" (2.326 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11), the return of "Grimm" (3.967 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7) and a new "Dateline NBC" (3.314 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10).

And finally, repeat "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (0.787 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13) and a new "America's Next Top Model" (0.939 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13) on The CW (0.863 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.6/5 in metered-market households and a 0.6/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.1/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (10/31/14):

ABC (6.576 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) was back in front among demos thanks to new episodes of "Last Man Standing" (6.549 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4), "Cristela" (5.417 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #9), "Shark Tank" (7.622 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) and "20/20" (6.123 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2).

CBS (8.864 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2) then was the most-watched network with originals from "The Amazing Race" (5.938 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5), "Hawaii Five-0" (9.468 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5) and "Blue Bloods" (11.187 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5).

Next up was NBC (4.977 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2) and week two of its lineup of "Dateline NBC" (7.262 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3), "Grimm" (4.545 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5) and "Constantine" (3.124 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.394 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) served up a new "Utopia" (1.564 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #11) and a repeat "Gotham" (1.225 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T14).

And finally, repeats of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.128 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12) and another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
