Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Claims Top Spot in Viewers, Demos

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/3/15):

CBS (13.213 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) pulled into the top spot on Tuesday with new episodes of "NCIS" (17.777 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1), "NCIS: New Orleans" (14.027 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3) and "Limitless" (7.837 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T5).

NBC (7.073 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) then snagged the silver with the season finale of "Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris" (4.993 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #10), a recap "The Voice" (8.147 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2) and a new "Chicago Fire" (8.080 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #4).

Next up was ABC (3.578 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with originals from "The Muppets" (4.547 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T8), "Fresh Off the Boat" (4.398 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T5), "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (3.827 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T8) and "Wicked City" (2.435 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #14).

Meanwhile, The CW (2.663 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) served up fresh installments of "The Flash" (3.733 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T5) and "iZombie" (1.593 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.6, #15).

And finally, FOX (2.652 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #5) closed out the evening with new episodes of "Grandfathered" (3.173 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T11), "The Grinder" (2.553 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #13) and "Scream Queens" (2.442 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T11).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters


Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/4/14):

FOX (4.108 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) took home the demo crown on Tuesday thanks to the return of "MasterChef Junior" (5.051 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2) followed by new episodes of "New Girl" (3.422 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) and "The Mindy Project" (2.909 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6).

NBC (6.114 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) then claimed a close second place with its mix of "The Voice" (9.517 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1), "Marry Me" (4.981 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6), "About a Boy" (4.130 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9) and "NBC News Special" (4.270 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T10).

Next up was CBS (9.027 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with repeats of "NCIS: New Orleans" (10.001 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5) and "NCIS" (11.712 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4) plus "CBS News Special" (5.367 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T13).

Meanwhile, ABC (3.681 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up a new "Selfie" (3.945 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T10), a second "Selfie" (3.419 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #12) and specials "Marvel: 75 Years, From Pulp to Pop!" (3.853 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #8) and "ABC News Special" (3.508 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T13).

And finally, repeats of "The Flash" (1.870 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.6, #15) and "Supernatural" (1.288 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.5, #16) on The CW (1.579 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "The Flash" posted a 0.3 rating while "Supernatural" delivered a 0.4 rating.
