ABC Wins Friday by Strong Margins - "Shark Tank" Grows to 5-Week Highs
ABC Friday Prime (8-11pm - 6.0 million and 1.4/5 in AD18-49): ABC won Friday in Adults 18-49 (1.4/5), beating Fox's season premieres on the night by 27% (1.1/4 - MasterChef Junior/World's Funniest), CBS by 27% (1.1/4) and NBC by 75% (0.8/3). It was ABC's 7th consecutive Friday this season to straight-out rank #1 on night or as the non-sports leader in the key young adult sales demo.
· Dominating at 9pm by 45% over its nearest competition (CBS' Hawaii Five-0 = 1.1/4), ABC's Shark Tank was Friday's #1 TV show in Adults 18-49 (1.6/6), standing as the night's top entertainment program for the 7th week running. Shark Tank grew week to week in Total Viewers (+8%) and Adults 18-49 (+14%) to deliver 5-week highs on both measures - since 10/2/15.
· Winning the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's 20/20 came in as the night's #2 TV show in Adults 18-49 (1.3/5-tie) and as the #1 newsmagazine with a 30% advantage over NBC's Dateline (1.0/4). Head to head at 10pm, 20/20 also beat Dateline by 1.0 million viewers (5.2 million vs. 4.2 million) and by 21% in the key Adult 25-54 news demo (1.7/5 vs. 1.4/4).
· Showing 100% retention in the 8 o'clock hour, ABC's Last Man Standing and Dr. Ken tied as night's #1 scripted TV show (1.2/5 - tied w/Blue Bloods at 10pm).
