HGTV DELIVERS HIGHEST-RATED AND MOST-WATCHED APRIL EVER
New York [For Immediate Release - April 28, 2016] Averaging a .59 rating, April 2016 now ranks as HGTV's highest-rated and most-watched April everamong primetime viewers P25-54 - a nine percent increase over April 2015. HGTV also scored the #1 position in primetime among upscale W25-54. During April, more than 23 million total viewers tuned in to HGTV each week in primetime.
April weekends (Saturday-Sunday 7A-8P) delivered an average .53 rating among viewers P25-54, growing 10 percent over April 2015 and making HGTV the #1 cable net among upscale W25-54 on weekends for the month.
HGTV ratings drivers in April included the new hit series Good Bones, starring mother/daughter home renovation and flipping duo Karen E Laine and Mina Starsiak; Fixer Upper, featuring Chip and Joanna Gaines; Beachfront Bargain Hunt and Caribbean Life.
