Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Demos as "Blindspot" Rises

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (5/9/16):

NBC (8.325 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) was still the demo champ on Monday with originals from "The Voice" (9.627 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1) and "Blindspot" (5.721 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #6).

ABC (9.739 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) then was the number two draw with its duo of "Dancing with the Stars" (11.180 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T2) and "Castle" (6.858 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9).

Next up was CBS (6.725 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3) and its mix of "Mike & Molly" (7.791 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4), another "Mike & Molly" (7.940 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T2), a repeat "The Big Bang Theory" (7.424 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #5), "The Odd Couple" (5.828 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #7) and "Person of Interest" (5.685 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #10).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.042 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Gotham" (3.677 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #8) and "Houdini & Doyle" (2.408 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11).

And finally, new episodes of "Reign" (0.809 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12) and "Jane the Virgin" (0.899 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12) on The CW (0.853 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NBC (8.254 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) was once again the demo champ on Monday with its duo of "The Voice" (9.844 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1) and "The Night Shift" (5.075 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #8).

ABC (11.768 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2) then was a close second with a new "Dancing with the Stars" (13.314 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2) and the season finale of "Castle" (8.677 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5).

Next up was CBS (7.278 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) with the penultimate weeks of "2 Broke Girls" (7.076 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4), "Mike & Molly" (7.747 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3), "Stalker" (6.351 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (8.071 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.130 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up a new "The Following" (3.210 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #9) and a second "The Following" (3.050 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10).

And finally, the season finales of "The Originals" (1.106 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11) and "Jane the Virgin" (1.265 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11) on The CW (1.185 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former delivered a 0.6 rating while the latter posted a 0.9 rating.
