Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: "America's Got Talent" Dominates the Competition

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (7/19/16):

NBC (8.933 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) overshadowed the competition on Tuesday with a new "America's Got Talent" (10.748 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1) and an "NBC News Special" (5.303 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2).

FOX (1.834 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) then was a distant second place with its duo of "Hotel Hell" (2.373 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) and "Coupled" (1.297 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8).

Next up was CBS (4.276 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) and its mix of "NCIS" (6.279 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4), "Zoo" (4.071 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) and "CBS News Special" (2.477 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.288 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up repeats of "The Middle" (2.998 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6), "Fresh Off the Boat" (2.286 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6), another "Fresh Off the Boat" (2.100 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8), "The Real O'Neals" (1.790 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) and "ABC News Special" (2.278 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8).

And finally, The CW (0.830 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night with a repeat "The Flash" (0.807 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14) and the finale to "Containment" (0.854 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13).

NBC (8.523 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) was back on top on Tuesday with new episodes of "America's Got Talent" (10.329 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) and "Hollywood Game Night" (4.913 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2).

CBS (6.518 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) then took home the silver with its trio of "NCIS" (7.469 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4), "Zoo" (6.618 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (5.467 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4).

Next up was ABC (2.344 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) and repeats of "Fresh Off the Boat" (2.711 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) and "Black-ish" (2.178 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) followed by a new "Extreme Weight Loss" (2.293 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.079 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) offered up a special "So You Think You Can Dance" (2.443 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #6) alongside the debut of "Knock Knock Live" (1.715 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #10).

And finally, repeats of "The Flash" (1.354 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #11) and "iZombie" (1.105 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12) on The CW (1.230 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former posted a 0.2 rating while the latter delivered a 0.3 rating.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 with an encore in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
