Monday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Tops Charts with "The Bachelorette"

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (7/25/16):

ABC (5.821 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) was the top draw on Monday with a new "The Bachelorette" (6.647 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) and "ABC News Special" (4.169 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3).

The silver then went to NBC (5.121 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) with an original "American Ninja Warrior" (5.793 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) and "NBC News Special" (3.778 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3).

Next up was FOX (2.624 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) with a new "So You Think You Can Dance" (2.624 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5).

Meanwhile, CBS (3.339 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up repeats of "Mom" (4.439 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5), "2 Broke Girls" (3.695 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5), "Scorpion" (3.363 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #8) and "CBS News Special" (2.587 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #9).

And finally, encores of "MADtv 20th Anniversary Reunion" (1.312 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #11) and "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (1.323 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #10) on The CW (1.318 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the night.

ABC (8.013 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1) was of course the network to beat on Monday with the season finale of "The Bachelorette" (8.051 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T1) and "The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose" (7.937 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T1).

NBC (5.459 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) then had to settle for second place with its duo of "American Ninja Warrior" (6.286 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3) and "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" (3.805 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4).

Next up was CBS (4.894 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3) and its repeat lineup of "2 Broke Girls" (4.658 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5), "Mike & Molly" (4.596 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5), "Scorpion" (4.578 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (5.477 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.789 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3) offered up a new "So You Think You Can Dance" (2.789 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7).

And finally, The CW (1.752 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the evening with its trio of "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (2.308 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #10), "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.480 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #11) and "Cedric's Barber Battle" (0.912 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said trio posted a 0.6, 0.3 and a 0.2 rating, respectively.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.3/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 with an encore in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
