Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/22/16): 
NBC (6.010 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) was the network to beat on Monday with the post-Olympics return of "American Ninja Warrior" (6.959 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) and "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" (4.113 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3). 
ABC (4.303 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then claimed the silver with originals from "Bachelor in Paradise" (5.188 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) and "Mistresses" (2.533 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9). 
Next up was CBS (4.019 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) and its repeat lineup of "Mom" (4.621 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4), "2 Broke Girls" (4.157 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4), another "Mom" (4.266 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4), "The Odd Couple" (3.714 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4) and "Scorpion" (3.678 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9). 
Meanwhile, FOX (2.620 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) offered up its return of "So You Think You Can Dance" (2.620 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #8). 
And finally, repeats of "Supergirl" (1.254 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #11) and another "Supergirl" (1.146 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #12) on The CW (1.199 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night.

 ·         In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/5; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2. 
 ·         From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
 ·         From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3).  In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).
 ·         At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
  
Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (8/24/15): 
ABC (4.090 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) and NBC (4.522 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) shared the demo crown on Monday as the latter served up a "best of" edition from "American Ninja Warrior" (5.244 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) and a new "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" (3.079 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4). 
The Alphabet then served up its mix of "Bachelor in Paradise" (5.528 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1), "After Paradise" (4.004 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) and "The Whispers" (2.738 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10). 
Next up was FOX (3.047 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its weekly installment of "So You Think You Can Dance" (3.047 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5). 
Meanwhile, CBS (4.666 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) served up repeats of "2 Broke Girls" (4.361 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5), "The Odd Couple" (3.984 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7), "Scorpion" (4.499 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (5.327 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7). 
And finally, new episodes of "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (2.239 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10), "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.926 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #12) and "Significant Mother" (1.265 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) on The CW (1.917 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the evening.
In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said trio posted a 0.4, 0.4 and a 0.3 rating, respectively.
