Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: NFL Playoffs Score Big for NBC, FOX

Here are the highlights of the 17 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/15/17):

NBC (25.460 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 8.2, #1) got a big spark from its coverage of the "AFC Divisional Game: Pittsburgh at Kansas City" (32.044 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 10.5, #3). Leading off the night were a repeat of "The Wall" (8.476 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.5, #7) and a "Football Night in America Special" (17.491 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 5.4, #5).

FOX (21.643 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 7.2, #2) likewise received a boost from "NFL Overrun" (44.423 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 14.1, #2), "The OT" (48.706 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 15.4, #1), "The Simpsons" (21.659 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 7.6, #4), another "The Simpsons" (6.493 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 2.6, #6), a special "The Mick" (4.882 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 2.0, #8) and "Family Guy" (3.696 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 1.6, #9).

Next up was CBS (6.997 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) and its quartet of "60 Minutes" (7.422 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T14), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (8.575 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #10), "Madam Secretary" (7.545 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12) and "Elementary" (4.447 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #16).

And finally, new episodes of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.039 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T14), "To Tell the Truth" (3.955 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12), another "To Tell the Truth" (3.885 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.9, #11) and "Conviction" (2.411 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.5, #17) closed out the night for ABC (3.572 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4).

NBC (7.219 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then was a distant second place with its mix of "Dateline NBC" (5.562 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12), another "Dateline NBC" (5.879 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #10) and the "Democratic Presidential Primary Debate" (8.718 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #4).
