TRAVEL CHANNEL'S HIT SERIES 'EXPEDITION UNKNOWN'
SCORES HIGHEST-RATED EPISODE EVER
NEW YORK (March 20, 2017) - Travel Channel's "Expedition Unknown" continues to break records, delivering its highest-rated episode in the series' history on Wednesday, March 15, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. It was the network's highest-rated prime time show since October 2015. Attracting more than 1.4 million total viewers, the episode captured the #9 spot for all viewers A25-54 and the #8 spot for M25-54 in its timeslot among all ad-supported cable networks. Focused on "England's Vanished Crown Jewels," the compelling episode followed avid adventurer Josh Gates on his quest to find the legendary lost treasure of King John. As a result of the episode's performance, "Expedition Unknown" is rating 40 percent higher among A25-54 than last season. The current season has attracted more than 11.5 million total viewers since its premiere in October 2016.
