NICKELODEON WINS APRIL WITH YEAR-OVER-YEAR GROWTH IN KEY KIDS' DEMOS
NEW YORK - May 2, 2017-Continuing its number-one streak for the year to date, Nickelodeon closed April as the top-rated kids' network among Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Kids 2-5--with year-over-year growth in each demo (+5% with K2-11; +6% with K6-11; +4% with K2-5) in total day. According to Nielsen Media Research for March 27-April 30, Nickelodeon averaged a 2.1/575K with K2-11; a 1.7/292K with Kids 6-11 (up +6%); and a 2.7/283K among Kids 2-5. Also, Nick was again home to the top shows for kids, including top-ranked Henry Danger and PAW Patrol.
For 2017 to date, Nick is number one with all three demos, with year-over-year growth: up +10% with Kids 2-11, up +7% with Kids 2-5 and up +6% with Kids 6-11.
Nick's April performance pushed ahead of Disney Channel by +62% with Kids 2-11, +13% among Kids 6-11; and +145% among K2-5. Nickelodeon also paced ahead of Cartoon Network by +110% with Kids 2-11; +55% among Kids 6-11; and +170% among Kids 2-5.
