Friday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC, CBS & NBC All Share Demo Crown

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (5/5/17):

CBS (7.325 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T1) was the most-watched broadcaster on Friday with its mix of "Undercover Boss" (5.079 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6), "Hawaii Five-0" (7.850 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) and the season finale of "Blue Bloods" (9.046 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2).

NBC (4.359 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T1) and ABC (3.651 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T1) however shared in the demo honors as the former served up new episodes of "First Dates" (3.512 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6) and "Dateline NBC" (4.782 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #5).

Next up was the Alphabet and its trio of "The Toy Box" (2.818 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #8), "Shark Tank" (4.290 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) and "20/20" (3.846 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.397 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #4) opted for repeats of "Lucifer" (1.384 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) and "Lethal Weapon" (1.410 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #9).

And finally, new episodes of "The Originals" (0.946 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) and "Reign" (0.699 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #12) rounded out the night for The CW (0.822 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/3; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (5/6/16):

CBS (7.645 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) took home the top spot on Friday with the season finale of "The Amazing Race" (5.935 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T4), a new "Hawaii Five-0" (8.304 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) and the season finale of "Hawaii Five-0" (8.697 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1).

ABC (4.431 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) then was the number two draw with its trio of "Beyond the Tank" (3.506 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7), "Shark Tank" (5.215 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) and "20/20" (4.575 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T4).

Next up was NBC (3.469 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its mix of "Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon" (2.949 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #9), "Grimm" (3.326 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7) and "Dateline NBC" (4.134 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #6).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.720 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) opted for the feature "Jumping the Broom" (1.720 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10).

And finally, the season finale of "The Vampire Diaries" (1.080 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10) plus a new "The Originals" (0.794 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12) on The CW (0.937 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night.
