Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Demos, CBS Leads Total Viewers

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/27/18):

NBC (9.251 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1) was still the demo champ on Tuesday with a new "The Voice" (10.767 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.3, #2) followed by the return of "This Is Us" (9.713 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) and "Chicago Med" (7.274 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3).

CBS (10.363 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) then was the most-watched network with originals from "NCIS" (12.319 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Bull" (10.613 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (8.157 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8).

Next up was FOX (3.141 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) with fresh installments from "Lethal Weapon" (4.141 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7), "LA to Vegas" (2.373 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T10) and "The Mick" (1.908 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T13).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.895 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) served up its mix of "The Middle" (5.173 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.227 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8), repeats of "Black-ish" (2.583 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T10) and "Modern Family" (2.203 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T13) plus a new "Kevin (Probably) Saves the World" (2.093 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T15).

And finally, new episodes of "The Flash" (2.084 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T10) and "Black Lightning" (1.625 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T15) rounded out the night on The CW (1.854 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/4; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.2/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (2/28/17):

NBC (8.665 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) was the top draw on a distrupted Tuesday with its mix of "The Voice" (11.279 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.6, #1), "NBC News Special" (8.267 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2) and a repeat "The Wall" (4.630 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5).

ABC (4.446 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) then was the silver draw with new episodes of "Fresh Off the Boat" (4.561 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3), "The Real O'Neals" (3.580 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5), "ABC News Special" (5.137 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3) and a repeat "American Housewife" (3.122 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #13).

Next up was CBS (6.827 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3) and a repeat "NCIS" (8.673 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9) alongside "CBS News Special" (6.593 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #8) and a second run "Kevin Can Wait" (3.841 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #14).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.546 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3) offered up new episodes of "New Girl" (2.244 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9) and "The Mick" (2.489 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9) plus "FOX News Special" (2.726 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #12).

And finally, a new "The Flash" (2.790 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5) and an encore of "Riverdale" (0.921 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #15) closed out the night on The CW (1.855 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #5).
