Friday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX Tops Demo Race with "MasterChef Junior" Finale

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (5/18/18):

FOX (3.271 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #1) took home the demo crown on Friday thanks to a new "MasterChef Junior" (2.984 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) followed by the season finale of "MasterChef Junior" (3.559 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1).

NBC (4.186 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) then was a close second with the season finale of "Blindspot" (3.290 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5) plus a two-hour "Dateline NBC" (4.635 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2).

Next up was CBS (5.614 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) with its mix of a new "Undercover Boss" (4.638 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5), the season finale of "Hawaii Five-0" (6.578 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) and a repeat "Blue Bloods" (5.626 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.275 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up the series finale of "Once Upon a Time" (2.322 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7), the season closer to "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (1.858 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7) and a new "20/20" (2.644 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

And finally, the special "Harry and Meghan: A Love Story" (1.652 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #11) and a new "Life Sentence" (0.978 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #12) rounded out the night on The CW (1.315 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

The silver then went to CBS (4.423 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2) and its mix of "Undercover Boss" (4.908 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2), "The New I Love Lucy Superstar Special" (3.604 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and a repeat "Blue Bloods" (4.757 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6).

Next up was ABC (2.529 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2) with a new "The Toy Box" (2.534 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6), the season finale of "The Toy Box" (2.320 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and "20/20" (2.735 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.926 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) opted for the feature "Maid in Manhattan" (1.926 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #9).

And finally, new episodes of "The Originals" (1.209 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) and "Reign" (1.067 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) rounded out the night for The CW (1.138 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).
