AMERICANS HEADED TO "YELLOWSTONE" IN RECORD NUMBERS THIS SUMMER

New Drama from Taylor Sheridan and Starring Kevin Costner Was the Most Watched Cable Series of the Summer and Most Watched 1st Season Drama On Ad-Supported Cable Since 2016

Season Finale Was the Most Watched Entertainment Telecast on Ad-Supported Cable Since April and Ranks as the Most Watched and Highest Rated Yellowstone Episode to Date

Los Angeles, August 27, 2018 - The new Paramount Network wrapped the first season of "Yellowstone" to record-setting viewership and ratings to rank as the most watched series on cable this summer and most watched new scripted drama on ad-supported cable since 2016. Furthermore, the drama led the list of ad-supported cable's most-watched entertainment telecasts of the summer with its entire series run (nine episodes) dominating the top 10. Paramount Network's first original drama series averaged 5 million viewers per episode (Live +7). Overall, the series is the 2nd most watched drama of 2018 on ad-supported cable behind the "The Walking Dead."

The season finale soared to new heights to rank as the most watched episode in ad-supported cable since April, while notching series high performance among P18-49 (1.5), W18-49 (1.5), P25-54 (2.1), M25-54 (2.2), W25-54 (2.0), and 4.8 million total viewers (Live +3). Production for season two is underway and will premiere next year only on Paramount Network.

The critically acclaimed drama stars world-renowned Oscar(R) and Emmy(R) Award-winning actor Kevin Costner along with Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Danny Huston and Gil Birmingham.

"Yellowstone" chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Kevin Costner), who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect - the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders - an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America's first national park.

Season 1 of "Yellowstone" was written and directed by critically-acclaimed, Oscar(R)-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan ("Wind River," "Hell or High Water" and "Sicario").

Executive producers for "Yellowstone" are John Linson, Art Linson, Taylor Sheridan, Kevin Costner and David C. Glasser. Ted Gold and Lauren Ruggiero are the executives in charge of production for Paramount Network.

The success of "Yellowstone" marks the seven month-old network's third successful scripted launch in a row. Back in January, the limited-series "Waco," which scored three Emmy(R) nominations, premiered to the best ratings for an ad-supported cable drama debut in nearly six months. In June, the network's first scripted-comedy "American Woman," bowed to the highest P/W18-49 and W25-54 ratings for an ad-supported cable scripted half-hour series premiere since early January.
