Monday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Tops Demos, NBC Leads Total Viewers

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/14/19):

ABC (5.801 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) was the demo champ on Monday thanks to new episodes of "The Bachelor" (5.599 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) and "The Good Doctor" (6.206 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4).

NBC (8.472 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then was a close second with fresh installments of "America's Got Talent: The Champions" (9.963 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) and "Manifest" (5.490 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7).

Next up was FOX (5.370 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with the return of "The Resident" (5.522 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6) and the premiere of "The Passage" (5.218 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3).

Meanwhile, CBS (6.322 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) offered up originals of "The Neighborhood" (6.878 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Happy Together" (5.140 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7), "Magnum P.I." (5.933 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #10) and "Bull" (7.024 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #9).

And finally, The CW (0.721 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the night with an encore of "The 4th Annual Howie Mandel Stand-Up Extravaganza" (0.721 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #11).

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.1/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (1/15/18):

ABC (7.460 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) was still the network to beat on Monday with originals from "The Bachelor" (6.559 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1), "The Good Doctor" (9.261 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2).

CBS (5.984 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) then was the number two draw with the return of "Kevin Can Wait" (7.119 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3), "Man with a Plan" (6.648 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Superior Donuts" (5.891 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6), "9JKL" (5.130 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7) and "Scorpion" (5.557 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #11).

Next up was NBC (5.068 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3) with new episodes of "The Wall" (5.825 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Better Late Than Never" (5.474 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7) and "The Brave" (3.905 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #12).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.392 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3) offered up a new "The Gifted" (3.397 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7) followed by the season finale of "The Gifted" (3.387 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7).

And finally, the return of "Supergirl" (2.147 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #13) and a new "Valor" (1.044 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14) on The CW (1.595 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) rounded out the night.
