Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: AFC Championship Delivers Big for CBS

Here are the highlights of the 18 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/24/21):

CBS (29.958 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 8.4, #1) was of course the network to beat on Sunday with its coverage of the "AFC Championship" (33.005 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 9.3, #1) followed by a special "FBI" (8.624 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2).

A distant silver went to FOX (1.260 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #2) with its repeat lineup of "The Great North" (2.360 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3), "Bob's Burgers" (1.235 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T4), "The Simpsons" (1.230 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T4), another "The Great North" (0.917 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8), another "Bob's Burgers" (0.858 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8) and "Family Guy" (0.959 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8).

Next up was ABC (3.004 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.3, #3) with a repeat "America's Funniest Home Videos" (3.907 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T4) alongside originals from "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" (2.890 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8), "Card Sharks" (1.979 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13) and "The Rookie" (3.241 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T4).

Meanwhile, NBC (1.421 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.2, #4) offered up its lineup of "Weakest Link" (1.539 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13), "The Wall" (1.270 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13), "Chicago Med" (1.188 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13) and a new "Dateline NBC" (1.688 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8).

And finally, a new "Batwoman" (0.642 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13) and the return of "Charmed" (0.465 million viewers, #18; adults 18-49: 0.1, #18) rounded out the night on The CW (5.540 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5).

ABC (3.825 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) was the distant silver with its mix of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (5.864 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3), another "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.432 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4), "Shark Tank" (2.547 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T5) and "Kobe Bryant: The Death of a Legend" (2.459 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T5).
