THE 55TH SEASON PREMIERE OF "60 MINUTES" MAKES THE TOP FIVE, IS THE WEEK'S #4 TELEVISION PROGRAM
The CBS Newsmagazine Was Sunday's #1 Non-Sports Primetime Program
60 MINUTES finished the week as the #4 primetime broadcast in total viewers for its 55th season premiere, and was #3 in adults 18+ (tied) and #5 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Sept. 18. The CBS newsmagazine made the top five in all three demographics with 10.20 million viewers, up +115,000 from the season premiere a year ago, 9.81 million adults 18+ and 2.91 million adults 25-54 - up +4% in adults 18+ and +2% in adults 25-54 year to year. 60 MINUTES was additionally Sunday's #1 non-sports primetime program in viewers, adults 18+ and adults 25-54.
60 MINUTES' season premiere posted its largest live streaming audience ever and was up +87% from last year's debut on Sept. 12, 2021. The broadcast amassed 1.66 billion potential social impressions, up +515% from last year's season premiere.
Sunday's kickoff to 55 years of 60 MINUTES featured Scott Pelley's extensive interview with President Biden - his first 60 MINUTES interview since taking office as the 46th president of the United States; and Lesley Stahl's rare sit down with Iranian President Raisi from his presidential complex in Tehran.
