'20/20' Outperforms 'Dateline' Across the Board by Double Digits
'20/20' Delivers Its Best Adults 25-54 Performance in Nearly 4 Months
ABC News' "20/20: What Happened to the McStays?" averaged 2.756 million Total Viewers, 392,000 Adults 25-54 and 267,000 Adults 18-49 on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research, ranking as Friday's No. 1 newsmagazine in all key target demos.
· "20/20" outperformed "Dateline" in Total Viewers (+34%/+692,000 - 2.756 million vs. 2.052 million), Adults 25-54 (+26%/+82,000 - 392,000 vs. 310,000) and Adults 18-49 (+32%/+65,000 - 267,000 vs. 202,000).
· "20/20" increased its lead week to week over "Dateline" by double digits in Total Viewers (+53% - 692,000 vs. 451,000) and Adults 18-49 (+282% - 65,000 vs. 17,000).
· "20/20" grew over its season premiere in Adults 25-54 (+2% - 392,000 vs. 386,000) to post its best news demo performance in nearly 4 months - since 5/6/25.
