DESCRIPTION: (from Bravo's web site, September 2008) Tim Gunn is back to the rescue, diving into women's closets everywhere for the second season of Tim Gunn's Guide to Style, premiering Thursday, Oct. 2 at 11 PM ET/PT. (The series movies to its regular timeslot on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 10 PM ET/PT.) Joining Gunn as his new "fashion accomplice" this season is Gretta Monahan, fashion expert, personal stylist and owner of Grettacole Spas and Salons, and Gretta Luxe Boutiques. Gunn and Monahan won't be making anyone over - with tough love and guidance, they'll help people make themselves over. "I am absolutely crazy about Gretta and together she and I want every woman to achieve her perfect signature look," says Gunn. "It takes hard work and commitment to look good, but it should also be fun - our hope is that we'll inspire women everywhere to put their best foot forward, and with cute shoes, too!" In each episode of Tim Gunn's Guide to Style, Gunn will use his unmatched counseling skills to turn the fashion weary into polished and sharp-looking individuals. Monahan will accompany style-challenged women on shopping challenges, guiding their choices, and offering solutions for their concerns, and supporting Gunn as he focuses on the big picture of each subject's transformation. When building their signature looks, the subjects use Gunn's "essential shopping list," which includes 10 basic pieces that no closet should be without. And armed with Gunn's rules, each makeover subject is encouraged to get a great pair of jeans, a trying task for any woman. Finally, after the fashion is taken care of, Gunn calls on his friends and colleagues to put the finishing touches on the women, including hair and make-up. Tim Gunn's Guide to Style is produced by Stone & Company Entertainment for Bravo. Scott A. Stone and Sarah-Jane Cohen are executive producers. Karen Kunkel Young is the co-executive producer.
