ALEXA ANDERSON, DANIEL BAKER, NICK BLOXSOM-CARTER AND JANAYA FRENCH ELIMINATED ON "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE"

TOP 16 TO COMPETE AGAIN AND MORE TO BE ELIMINATED ON NEXT LIVE PERFORMANCE SHOW WEDNESDAY, JULY 25, ON FOX

Christina Applegate to Guest-Judge and Alvin Ailey Dance Theater to Perform Next Week

Tonight on the first SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE performance and results show, the 10 couples performed again with brand-new routines. After America's vote was revealed, Daniel Baker, Nick Bloxsom-Carter, Chehon Wespi-Tschopp, Alexa Anderson, Witney Carson and Janaya French were the three guys and three girls who received the fewest votes.

After deliberating, the judges - Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and guest judge Adam Shankman - saved one guy and one girl - Chehon Wespi-Tschopp and Witney Carson - from elimination, and therefore Daniel Baker, Nick Bloxsom-Carter, Alexa Anderson and Janaya French were sent home. In addition, the cast from the new movie "Step Up Revolution" also appeared on tonight's show. Lythgoe also reminded viewers that the third annual National Dance Day will take place on Saturday, July 28, the same day as The Dizzy Feet Foundation's second annual Celebration of Dance gala at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. Next week, on Wednesday, July 25 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), the competition continues on another two hour live performance and results show, when the Top 16 finalists: Lindsay Arnold and Cole Horibe; Witney Carson and Chehon Wespi-Tschopp; Audrey Case and Matthew Kazmierczak; Amber Jackson and Brandon Mitchell; Eliana Girard and Cyrus Spencer; Janelle Issis and Dareian Kujawa; Amelia Lowe and Will Thomas; and Tiffany Maher and George Lawrence II - compete once again for America and the judges. Also, Christina Applegate ("Up All Night") will join the panel as a guest judge and the show will feature a spectacular performance from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
