HYSTERIA (Amazon; W: Shaun Cassidy; D: TBA) - Josh Stewart (The Dark Knight Rises) has joined the cast of the Mena Suvari-led drama pilot, about Dr. Logan Harlow, an exceptionally bright, driven, complicated, charming but socially awkward neurologist/psychiatrist at the University of Texas Medical School who travels to her hometown of Austin, TX to investigate a mysterious epidemic among high school girls that may be spreading through technology. He'll play "a local man who is trying to reconnect with his family after he had an affair with the family babysitter and now finds the girl not wanting to let go." (Deadline.com)
RECOVERY ROAD (ABC Family; W: Bert V. Royal & Karen DiConcetto; D: Lawrence Trilling) - Samantha Logan ("666 Park Avenue") has booked the lead role on the drama pilot, about Maddie, who has reputation as a party girl who doesn't think she has a problem, until she's confronted one day by her school guidance counselor and forced to choose between expulsion and rehab. Trying to save face, Maddie chooses to spend her nights living with other recovering addicts at a rehab facility, and her days pretending everything is perfectly normal among her high school classmates and her closest friends. Lawrence Trilling has likewise signed on to direct the project, which is based on the popular young adult novel by Blake Nelson. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - "New Girl" will return this fall with a full 22-episode order while "The Mindy Project" will be back with a smaller 15-episode season (Vulture.com); ABC has extended the contract of its late-night host Jimmy Kimmel for two extra years, keeping him on board through at least January 2017 (Deadline.com); Comedy Central has snagged the off-network rights to FX's animated veteran "Archer," with repeats beginning in May 2015 (Deadline.com); Johnathon Schaech has been cast as Colonel Sherman in History's "Texas Rising" (Deadline.com); Sony Pictures Television is developing a limited series based on Walter Kirn's autobiographical book "Blood Will Out: The True Story of a Murder, a Mystery, and a Masquerade" (Deadline.com); Rich Blomquist has closed a two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television (Deadline.com); and Timothy Busfield has been cast as Benjamin Franklin on "Sleepy Hollow" (EW.com).

NBC Will Now Offer a Special Premiere of "The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins" on Sunday, Jan. 18 Immediately Following Coverage of the NFL Playoff Game
The series will return on Monday, February 23 at 8 p.m. with an encore of the pilot and a new episode immediately following at 8:30 p.m. in its timeslot premiere.
