4400, THE (The CW) - Erica Watson has been tapped to helm the debut installment of the reboot series. She'll also serve as a co-executive producer. (Variety.com)
AMERICAN HORROR STORY (FX) - Ryan Murphy took to social media with the news that the show's upcoming 10th season will be titled "Double Feature," featuring "two horrifying stories... one season." (@mrrpmurphy)
BEAR, THE (FX, New!) - Writer/director Christopher Storer has landed a pilot order from the cable channel for "a half-hour show about a young chef who returns to Chicago to run the family restaurant." Hiro Murai, Nate Matteson and Joanna Calo are also set to executive produce for Super Frog and FX Productions. (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO FIRE/MED/PD (NBC) - Margaret Colin, Hanako Greensmith, Jack Coleman, Charlie Farrell and Benny Mora are the latest bound for the "Chicago" franchise. Colin will play Dr. Manning's (Torrey DeVitto) mother; with Greensmith returning as paramedic Violet Lim, who "had a previous relationship with Gallo (Alberto Rosende) that may or may not continue." Coleman is likewise due back as "Disco Bob" Ruzek, "Adam Ruzek's (Patrick Flueger) father"; while Farrell is Mark Barragan, "the executive in charge of Dr. Halstead's (Nick Gehlfuss) drug trial"; and Mora as Mike, "a blue-collar truck driver in his 30s whose ex-wife brings their baby to the ER." CROSSOVER, THE (Disney+, New!) - Kwame Alexander has scored a pilot order from the streaming service for a small screen take on his Newberry Award-winning novel, which "tells the story of 14-year-old basketball phenom brothers Josh and JB Bell. The boys come of age on and off the court as their former pro-baller father adjusts to life after basketball and matriarch mother finally gets to pursue dreams of her own. This aspirational and emotional family drama is narrated entirely by Josh through his lyrical poetry." Alexander and Damani Johnson are co-writing the project with Dee Johnson, director George Tillman Jr., Bob Teitel and Jay Marcus also executive producing for State Street Pictures and 20th Television. DOPESICK (Hulu) - Rebecca Wisocky and Meagen Fay are the latest to recur on the limited series as "an FDA official who is involved with regulating OxyContin;" and Sister Beth Davies, "a nun who provides therapy for opioid abuse disorder that has ravaged her community in Appalachia," respectively. FULL BLOOM (HBO Max) - Director Joseph Guidry has signed a one-year agreement with the streamer, giving it exclusivity for his directorial services. (Deadline.com)

L WORD, THE: GENERATION Q (Showtime) - Vanessa Williams will recur on the show's sophomore run as Pippa Pascal, "described as an incendiary artist who's been out of the public eye for almost 20 years - until Bette becomes determined to track her down." (Variety.com)
OUTLANDER (Starz) - The show's sixth season has cast Mark Lewis Jones as Tom Christie, "a fellow Ardsmuir prisoner and devout Protestant, arrives on Fraser's Ridge seeking a place to settle"; Alexander Vlahos as Allan Christie, "who travels to the Ridge with his father Tom and his sister Malva"; and Jessica Reynolds as Malva Christie, "Tom's young, spirited daughter." TRUE LIES (CBS) - The Eye has pushed production on the feature-turned-TV series pilot to a summer shoot. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED BOYS SPIN-OFF PROJECT (Amazon) - Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero and Maddie Phillips are the latest additions to the proposed spin-off series about young superheroes. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED LAKERS PROJECT (HBO) - Michael Chiklis is the latest cast in HBO's 1980s Los Angeles Lakers drama series as legendary Boston Celtics coach Red Auerbach: "As coach of the Celtics, Auerbach won nine NBA championships. As general manager, he won seven more. When the Lakers' rise threatens his Boston dynasty, Auerbach proves himself to be the basketball genius and cut-throat competitor of every Laker fan's nightmares." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED LIZZO PROJECT (Amazon, New!) - Grammy-winning rapper-singer-flautist Lizzo is set to topline an unscripted series at the streamer which "will follow her on her continued search for dynamic, full-figured women to join her world and perform with her on stage." Lizzo will executive produce for Amazon Studios, home to her first-look deal. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
