ABBOTT ELEMENTARY (ABC) - Leslie Odom Jr., Lauren Weedman and Keyla Monterroso Mejia will all drop by the upcoming season. Odom Jr. will play Draemond, "the owner of a batch of charter schools in the area who visits Abbott"; with Weedman as Kristin Marie, "a hard-shelled teacher from a neighboring school that strikingly resembles one of Abbott's own teachers"; and Monterroso Mejia as "a teacher's aide whose lax personality contributes to classroom chaos at Abbott." CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - Production was halted on the series for the day after "Chicago Police confirmed that an unknown offender, armed with a handgun, shot at a group of people standing in the 5900 block of West Madison around 1:45 p.m. A local report says many cast members of the Dick Wolf drama were close to the location and cameras were rolling." DIGMAN! (Comedy Central) - Tim Robinson, Mitra Jouhari, Dale Soules, Guz Khan, Melissa Fumero and Tim Meadows will join Andy Samberg in the adult animated adventure comedy series set in a world where archaeologists are cooler than rock stars. Samberg and Neil Campbell are behind the project with Ali Bell, Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, Ben Kalina and Grant Gish also executive producing for Party Over Here, CBS Studios, Titmouse Studios and MTV Entertainment Studios. Sachi Ezura is as co-executive producer and Michael Stanger is a supervising producer. (Deadline.com)
DRIVER, THE (AMC) - Amanda Brugel will recur on the upcoming drama as Sister Anne: "Unlike any nun we've ever seen before - she's tatted up. While her appearance is different, she is completely devoted to God and her Order. Her past with Vince (Giancarlo Esposito) is mysterious and she continues to be his confidant when life gets tough." FOR ALL MANKIND (Apple TV+) - Toby Kebbell has signed onto the show's fourth season as Miles, "a former offshore oil platform worker who pursues a new job opportunity on Mars." (Variety.com)
FULL CIRCLE (HBO Max) - Timothy Olyphant has signed onto Steven Soderbergh's limited series for the streamer as Derek, "Sam's (Claire Danes) husband." (Deadline.com)
IRONHEART (Disney+) - Rashida "Sheedz" Olayiwola is the latest bound for the Marvel Studios series' ever-expanding cast. (Deadline.com)
MOST TALKATIVE (NBC, New!) - Writers Gordon Greenberg and Michael Weiner and director Todd Holland are set to team for a comedy series based on Andy Cohen's bestselling book, which would follow "a fictionalized 13-year-old Andy Cohen coming of age in 1980s St Louis. He's gay, loves the Cardinals, his bar mitzvah tutor is a stoner, and his soap opera-fueled imagination makes him both the life of the party and the source of endless drama. Most Talkative is a series about not fitting into any one box and figuring out how to build your own." All four are executive producing alongside Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold and Chris Dickie for Universal Television and Blumhouse Television. (Deadline.com)
REACHER (Amazon) - Shaun Sipos has scored a lead role on the show's second season as David O'Donnell: "He served with Reacher (Alan Ritchson) in 110th, the Army's unit of Special Investigators, and is like a brother to Reacher." (Deadline.com)
SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES, THE (Disney+) - Mychala Lee has been cast in the book series adapation as Mallory, "a classic firstborn child. She is extremely Type A, smart, determined, and ambitious. She strives for perfection in everything she does, from learning to drive to her passion for fencing. While she loves her brothers, her parents' divorce and her life being uprooted is putting more than the usual strain on their normal sibling rivalry." (Variety.com)
STRAIGHT MAN (AMC) - The Bob Odenkirk-led drama has cast Diedrich Bader as Tony Conigula, "a philosophy professor at Railton and Hank's closest friend"; Sara Amini as Meg Quigley, "an adjunct professor seeking tenure at Railton, where her mother teaches as well"; Cedric Yarbrough as Paul Rourke, "a poetry professor at the college"; and Suzanne Cryer as Gracie DuBois, "a poetry professor at Railton."
