Sunday Primetime (7:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC stood as the No. 1 network on Sunday night in viewers and young adults. Although most of the ABC Sunday lineup was comprised of rebroadcast programming (3 of 4 hours), opposite mostly original product on the other broadcasters, ABC outdrew its nearest competitors on the evening by 6% in Total Viewers (11.9 million vs. 11.2 million - CBS) and by 53% in Adults 18-49 (4.6/12 vs. 3.0/8 - Fox). ABC won all 4 hours of the evening for the second week in a row in among young adults.

ABC tallied its 13th consecutive week as the top-rated network on Sunday in the Adult 18-49 sales demographic, representing its longest winning streak on the evening in more than 14 years since at least September 1991, the start of Nielsens electronic database.

ABC claimed the Top 2 TV shows on Sunday in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, with Desperate Housewives: The More You Know, the Juicier it Gets and Greys Anatomy: Under Pressure.

Americas Funniest Home Videos (7:00-8:00 p.m.)

For the second straight week, ABCs Americas Funniest Home Videos gave ABC a head start during the opening hour of Sundays primetime, leading second-place CBS 60 Minutes by 24% in Adults 18-49 (2.6/9 vs. 2.1/7).

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

A repeat airing of ABCs Extreme Makeover: Home Edition ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-49 during the 8 oclock hour, beating out Foxs original comedies in its time period (3.5/10 vs. 3.4/9 Foxs The Simpsons/War at Home).

The No. 1 television program on Sunday in viewers and young adults, ABCs Desperate Housewives clip-show dominated its time period competition. Versus the most recent Desperate Housewives clip-show earlier in the season, Desperate Housewives: The More You Know, the Juicier it Gets was up by 3.4 million viewers and by 33% in Adults 18-49 (12.4 million & 4.6/12 on 1/1/06).
