CBS Up in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 Versus Premiere Wednesday
Following premiere week sampling, CBS's CRIMINAL MINDS returned to the winner's circle in the competitive 9:00-10:00 PM time period, increasing its audience by +14% and its adult 18-49 rating by +6% while both "Private Practice" and "Bionic Woman" declined by double digit percentages, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 3.
CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (9.4/15), viewers (14.42m), second in adults 25-54 (5.0/12, -0.2 behind ABC) and averaged a 3.7/09 in adults 18-49. Compared to the season premiere last week, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +15% in households (from 8.2/13), +11% in adults 25-54 (from 4.5/10), +6% in adults 18-49 (from 3.5/09) and added +1.76m viewers (from 12.66m, +14%). CRIMINAL MINDS is the night's #1 program in viewers and households.
CSI: NY won its time period in households (8.3/14), viewers (12.72m), adults 25-54 (4.8/12) and adults 18-49 (3.9/10). Compared to last week's season premiere, CSI: NY was up +2% in households (from 8.1/13), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.6/11), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 3.7/10) and even in viewers.
KID NATION (4.6/08, 7.52m) was the #1 of the night in children 6-11 (2.4/09) and children 2-11 (1.9/07) while averaging a 2.8/08 in adults 25-54, and 2.4/07 in adults 18-49. At 8:30 PM, KID NATION increased by +33% in adults 18-49, by +24% in adults 25-54 and by +42% in adults 18-34 while adding +1.29 million viewers.
Compared to premiere Wednesday, CBS was up in viewers (11.55m, +5%), adults 25-54 (4.2/11, +5%) and adults 18-49 (3.4/09, +3%).
Final Wednesday ratings will be available this afternoon.
