"Big Brother Sunday" Notches Double Digit Percentage Increases Over Last Week and is the Most Watched Episode of the Summer

CBS placed first in viewers for the eighth time in 10 weeks this summer with six of the Top 10 programs, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Aug. 3, week 45 of the 2007-2008 television year.

Recent changes to the Network's Thursday schedule, including the relocation of the BIG BROTHER live elimination show and FLASHPOINT, boosted ratings on the night as BIG BROTHER won its time period in all key measures and FLASHPOINT placed first in its time period for the fourth consecutive week with its highest ratings since premiere.

For the week in viewers: CBS (6.29m), NBC (5.67m), FOX (5.07m) and ABC (4.41m). Summer to date: CBS (6.79m) leads FOX (6.19m), NBC (5.99m) and ABC (5.35m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was tied for second in adults 25-54 (2.0/06, with FOX, -0.1 from NBC) and average a 1.5/05 in adults 18-49. Summer to date, CBS is tied for second in adults 25-54 (with NBC).

For the week in households: CBS (4.2/08), NBC (3.7/07), FOX (3.3/06) and ABC (2.8/05). Summer to date: CBS (4.6/08) is +18% ahead of both NBC and FOX (3.9/07, each) and +31% ahead of ABC (3.5/06).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

? FLASHPOINT won its time period in households (5.2/09), viewers (7.68m), adults 25-54 (2.5/07) and adults 18-49 (1.9/06). This is FLASHPOINT's best delivery since its series premiere. Compared to last week's broadcast, FLASHPOINT was up +16% in households (from 4.5/08), +14% in adults 25-54 (from 2.2/06), +12% in adults 18-49 (from 1.7/05) and added +980,000 viewers (from 6.70m, +15%).

? BIG BROTHER 10 THURSDAY (P) was first in households (4.2/08), viewers (6.39m), adults 25-54 (2.8/09) and adults 18-49 (2.3/08). Compared to the time period last week (GREATEST AMERICAN DOG), BIG BROTHER 10 THURSDAY was up +5% in households (from 4.0/08), +33% in adults 25-54 (from 2.1/07), +44% in adults 18-49 (from 1.6/06) and added +320,000 viewers (from 6.07m, +5%). Compared to last Wednesday's broadcast, BIG BROTHER 10 was up +2% in households (from 4.1/07), +8% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/08), +10% in adults 18-49 (from 2.1/07) and added +170,000 viewers (from 6.22m, +36%).

? BIG BROTHER 10 SUNDAY was second in households (4.3/08), viewers (6.61m), adults 25-54 (2.8/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07). Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 10 SUNDAY was up +16% in households (from 3.7/07), +12% in adults 25-54 (from 2.5/07), +15% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/06) and added +770,000 viewers (from 5.84m, +13%).

? GREATEST AMERICAN DOG (P) won its new time slot in households (3.9/07), viewers (5.81m), adults 25-54 (2.0/06) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.5/05, with FOX).
