The Second Season Premiere of "The Good Wife" Sweeps its Time Period in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 with Significant Increases Over May's Finale

CBS won Tuesday in viewers and adults 25-54 for the second consecutive week behind the Network's drama lineup of NCIS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES and the season premiere of THE GOOD WIFE, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Sept. 28.

NCIS was first in households (11.3/18) and viewers (18.74); it was second in adults 25-54 (5.3/14) and adults 18-49 (4.0/11). NCIS was Tuesday's #1 program in viewers.

At 9:00 PM, NCIS: LOS ANGELES was tied for first in adults 18-49 (3.7/10, with ABC) and second in households (10.0/16), viewers (16.45m) and adults 25-54 (4.9/12, -0.2 behind ABC). Compared to last week's season premiere, NCIS: LOS ANGELES was up +3% in households (from 9.7/15), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.8/11), +9% in adults 18-49 (from 3.4/09) and added +690,000 viewers (from 15.76m, +4%).

At 10:00 PM, the season premiere of THE GOOD WIFE (P) was first in households (8.3/14), viewers (12.89m), adults 25-54 (3.6/10) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07). Compared to its season finale in May 2010, THE GOOD WIFE was up +19% in households (from 7.0/12), +20% in adults 25-54 (from 3.0/08), +25% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/06) and added +2.28m viewers (from 10.61m, +21%).

For the night, CBS was first in households (9.9/16), viewers (16.03m), adults 25-54 (4.6/12) and second in adults 18-49 (3.4/09).

CBS won Tuesday in viewers and adults 25-54 for the second consecutive week behind the Network's drama lineup of NCIS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES and the season premiere of THE GOOD WIFE, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sept. 28.

NCIS was first in households (11.5/18) and viewers (19.15m); it was second in adults 25-54 (5.4/14) and adults 18-49 (4.1/12). NCIS was Tuesday's #1 program in viewers.

At 9:00 PM, NCIS: LOS ANGELES was second in households (10.0/16), viewers (16.51m), adults 25-54 (5.0/12, -0.2 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (3.7/10, -0.1 behind ABC). Compared to last week's season premiere, NCIS: LOS ANGELES was up +3% in households (from 9.7/15), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.8/11), +9% in adults 18-49 (from 3.4/09) and added +750,000 viewers (from 15.76m, +5%).

At 10:00 PM, the season premiere of THE GOOD WIFE (P) was first in households (8.3/14), viewers (12.84m), adults 25-54 (3.6/10) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07). Compared to its season finale in May 2010, THE GOOD WIFE was up +19% in households (from 7.0/12), +20% in adults 25-54 (from 3.0/08), +25% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/06) and added +2.23m viewers (from 10.61m, +21%).

For the night, CBS was first in households (10.0/16), viewers (16.17m), adults 25-54 (4.7/12) and second in adults 18-49 (3.4/09).
