CBS Becomes First Network to Win First Three Weeks of a Season in Viewers and Key Demos Since 2001

CBS Has the Week's Top Five New Programs in Viewers and Top Three in Adults 18-49

CBS Has Seven of the Top 10 Programs Led by NCIS at #2

CBS Wins All Five Weeknights at 10:00 PM in Viewers and Adults 25-54 and Four of Five in Adults 18-49

CBS extended its beginning-of-the-season winning streak to three weeks, becoming the first network to win the first three weeks of a season in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since 2001 (NBC), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 10, week three of the 2010-2011 television season

CBS had the week's top five new programs in viewers (HAWAII 5-0, MIKE & MOLLY, BLUE BLOODS, $#*! MY DAD SAYS and THE DEFENDERS) and the top three in adults 18-49 (MIKE & MOLLY, HAWAII FIVE-0 and $#*! MY DAD SAYS)

CBS had seven of the week's top 10 programs: NCIS; NCIS: LOS ANGELES; 60 MINUTES; THE MENTALIST; TWO AND A HALF MEN; CRIMINAL MINDS and THE GOOD WIFE.

For the week in viewers, CBS (11.93m) is ahead of ABC (8.76m), NBC (6.97m) and FOX (6.05m). Season-to-date in viewers, CBS (12.61m) is ahead of ABC (9.49m), NBC (8.06m) and FOX (6.91m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (4.0/11) and adults 18-49 (3.0/09). Season-to-date, CBS is first in both adults 25-54 (4.3/11) and adults 18-49 (3.3/10).

CBS won its third consecutive week in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. This is CBS's first wins in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 in the first three weeks of the television season since the advent of people meters. This is the first time any network has won every week of the first three weeks of the season in these measures since 2001 (NBC).

For the week in households: CBS (7.4/13), ABC (5.6/10), NBC (4.4/08) and FOX (3.6/06). Season-to-date in households, CBS (7.7/13) is ahead of ABC (6.0/10), NBC (5.1/09) and FOX (4.1/07).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

? TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in adults 18-49 (4.5/11), tied for first in adults 25-54 (5.9/13, with ABC) and second in households (8.6/13) and viewers (14.37m). Compared to last week, TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +1% in households (from 8.5/13), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 5.8/13) and added +450,000 viewers (from 13.92m, +3%).

? MIKE AND MOLLY was second in households (7.4/11), viewers (12.21m), adults 25-54 (5.0/11) and adults 18-49 (3.9/09). Compared to last week, MIKE AND MOLLY was up +7% in households (from 6.9/10), +6% in adults 25-54 (from 4.7/10), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 3.7/09) and added +1.09m viewers (from 11.12m, +10%).

? HAWAII FIVE-0 was first in households (7.7/13), viewers (12.24m), adults 25-54 (4.6/12), adults 18-49 (3.5/09) for the third consecutive week.

-- On Tuesday, CBS was first in households (10.1/16), viewers (16.24m) and adults 25-54 (4.5/12) and second in adults 18-49 (3.3/09, -0.1 behind FOX). This was CBS's closest finish to FOX in adults 18-49 (-0.1) on a Tuesday this season.

? NCIS was first in households (12.0/19), viewers (19.81m), adults 25-54 (5.3/14) and second in adults 18-49 (3.8/11). This was the best viewers delivery for NCIS since Jan. 26, 2010. Compared to last week, NCIS added +660,000 viewers (from 19.15m, +3%), marking the largest audience for any scripted series this season.

? NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in adults 18-49 (3.4/09), tied for first in adults 25-54 (4.7/12, with ABC) and second in both households (9.9/16) and viewers (16.15m).

? THE GOOD WIFE was first in households (8.3/14), viewers (12.76m), adults 25-54 (3.6/10) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07) for the second straight week. Compared to last week's season premiere, THE GOOD WIFE was even in households, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

-- On Wednesday, CBS was first in households (7.1/12), viewers (11.77m), adults 25-54 (4.1/11) and adults 18-49 (3.2/09).

? SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA was first in households (7.0/12), viewers (12.05m), adults 25-54 (4.8/13) and adults 18-49 (3.8/11). CBS swept this time slot for the fourth consecutive week. Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA was up +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.7/13) and +9% in adults 18-49 (from 3.5/11).

? CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (8.4/14), viewers (13.87m) and adults 25-54 (4.5/11); it was second in adults 18-49 (3.5/10). CRIMINAL MINDS was Wednesday's #1 program in viewers.

? THE DEFENDERS was first in households (6.0/11), viewers (9.38m), adults 25-54 (3.0/08) and second in adults 18-49 (2.2/06).

-- On Thursday, CBS was first in households (7.9/13), viewers (12.69m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (3.1/09). CBS won the first three Thursdays of the season in these measures for the first time since 2005.

? THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in households (7.6/13), viewers (12.59m), adults 25-54 (5.0/15), adults 18-49 (4.1/13) and adults 18-34 (2.9/10).

? $#*! MY DAD SAYS was first in households (6.0/10), viewers (9.77m), adults 25-54 (3.8/11) and adults 18-49 (2.9/09).

? THE MENTALIST was first in households (9.0/16), viewers (14.39m), adults 25-54 (4.3/12) and adults 18-49 (3.0/09). Compared to last week, THE MENTALIST was up +5% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/11) and even in adults 18-49. THE MENTALIST was the night's #1 program in viewers.

-- On Friday, CBS was first in households (5.6/11), viewers (9.04m), adults 25-54 (2.4/08) and adults 18-49 (1.6/06). CBS was first on Friday for the third consecutive week in these measures.

? CSI: NY was first in households (6.2/11), viewers (9.89m), adults 25-54 (2.6/08) and adults 18-49 (1.9/06). Compared to last week, CSI: NY was +4% in adults 25-54 (from 2.5/08), +12% in adults 18-49 (from 1.7/06) and added +190,000 viewers (from 9.70m, +2%). CSI: NY was the night's #1 program in adults 18-49.

? BLUE BLOODS was first in households (6.8/13), viewers (11.15m) and adults 25-54 (2.7/08); it was tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.8/06, with ABC). BLUE BLOODS was the night's #1 program in households, viewers and adults 25-54 for the third consecutive week.

? 60 MINUTES (7:58-8:58PM) was first in households (9.4/15), viewers (15.02m), second in adults 25-54 (4.7/12) and adults 18-49 (3.7/10). 60 MINUTES posted its best households and viewers delivery since April 11, 2010; best adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since January 17, 2010. Compared to last week, 60 MINUTES was up +21% in households (from 7.8/13), +62% in adults 25-54 (from 2.9/08), +85% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/06) and added +2.76m viewers (from 12.26m, +23%).

? Compared to last week, THE AMAZING RACE 17 (8:58-9:58 PM) was up +11% in households (6.9/11 from 6.2/10), +5% in adults 25-54 (4.5/10 from 4.3/10), +12% in adults 18-49 (3.8/09 from 3.4/09) and added +1.32m viewers (11.99m from 10.67m, +12%). This was the largest audience for THE AMAZING RACE since March 28, 2010 (THE AMAZING RACE 16).

? CSI: MIAMI (10:58-11:58 PM) posted a 6.1/13 with 9.48m viewers, 3.2/10 in adults 25-54 and 2.7/09 in adults 18-49. Compared to the same night last year ("Cold Case"), CSI: MIAMI was up +20% in households, +33% in adults 25-54 and +42% in adults 18-49.
